July Empties

My empty product posts always seem to end up appearing around the middle of the month for some reason.

I still can't get over how many products you actually use up if you stick to the same thing for a while and then keep the bottles as evidence!

Constant repurchases that I love:

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder - Review here
Batiste Dry Shampoo
No7 Beautiful Skin Eye Make Up Remover - Review here

Bath & Bodyworks Hand Sanitisers - These are the best things ever but I think this has exhausted my stash of them. I usually order them in bulk on eBay. They smell gorgeous and look pretty too!

Ginvera BB Cream - I love this and am definitely going to be purchasing the full size. I was impressed the very first time that I used it. I used it whilst I was away in Tunisia as it has SPF 30 in it. The colour tint is much nicer than that i've found with other BB creams and this sample from the Birmingham Blogger Meet Up has lasted me ages!

Percy & Reed Colour Shine Conditioner - This was a nice product but a bit of a thick conditioner for my fine hair. It was a freebie in Glamour magazine.

John Frieda Everlasting Blonde Shampoo - I finished the conditioner to this in my last empties post but shampoo always last me longer. This originated in a Glossybox and I loved it. I'll definitely purchase the full size next time I get highlights.

Dove Summer Glow Gradual Tan Moisturising Lotion - This is the dark version as I find it's usually best to get the darkest shade with tanning products for the best effect. I used this to maintain my holiday tan and really liked it. It's on offer in Boots at the moment for £2.50, half price I think so I've just picked up a replacement.

Palmolive Shower Creme

Morgan Vanilla Bubble Bath

Blend Collective Hand Lotion

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque - I am a newly converted Macadamia addict. I was lucky to be able to meet the owner at an event held by the Vintage Set. Pretty sure that I'll have a whole Macadamia post up soon!

No7 Eyeliner pencils - Over the years, whenever I had a £5 off No7 voucher, I always picked up one of these eyeliners because they ended up been £2.50. I still love them, they stay put all day and are a solid black. I've actually finished two eyeliners which is a first hence the odd looking remains in the photo!

Astrid & Miyu

Astrid and Miyu have become pretty big in the piercing world. I've been fond of their items for a little while but thought they were quite a pricey brand. Although, when I actually had a proper look on their website, I realised there were some reasonable items on there. They are very kindly offering 30% off to NHS staff at the moment so I decided it would be a good time to try a few pieces. I went for a pair of huggies earrings and a pair of studs to wear together.  I have my lobe, upper lobe and left helix pierced. My body doesn't actually respond very well to piercings; I've found the healing time to be long and quite painful. The first time I had my ears pierced at around age 7, I found out I was allergic to gold and had to let them close up. However, once my piercings are healed I find that I can wear gold. I had them re-pierced with titanium at a tattoo shop with belly rings as I don't think titanium was readily available at the time. I remember a dark tatt

OOTD: I'll Show You

After quite a long break, I really want to start blogging regularly again. Time really does run away from us so let's see how this goes.... First up, an outfit of the day featuring my favourite store: River Island. Striped Shirt: River Island £36 Black Joni Jeans: Topshop £36 Boots: River Island £50 (last year) I went on a bit of a spending spree a few weeks ago ahead of the Christmas festivities as I wanted to top up my wardrobe with some pieces I could throw on for last minute plans. I like the design of the shirt although I don't think the cut is very flattering. Topshop Joni Jeans are my absolute favourite, the cut and fit is perfect and I think they have used new material lately that will actually stay black and not fade to a washed out grey. I regretted buying these boots last year as I've hardly worn them and contemplated getting rid of them but I decided to pair them up with this outfit and thought they went quite well so maybe I should try

My Roaccutane Journey

This post is more audience specific than usual but I hope it may be of help to anyone going through a similar situation. I want to give you an insight into my Roaccutane journey as I know I often turned to searching Google for answers. Never did I think i’d be posting this on the internet but here goes... Onto the back story, I had oily/ combination skin as a teenager and suffered with the usual teenage spots that cleared up as I approached my 20’s. Later, I was on the combined contraceptive pill and decided to take a break from it when I was around 23. I stopped it for 6 months and was hit with a backlash. Stopping the pill and a change in hormones is the only explanation I can put my breakout down to. My skin broke out significantly. I had courses of Lymecycline prescribed and Zineryt (Zinc & Erythromycin) Topical Lotion. With minimal success from these, I was referred to a dermatologist. BEFORE Before all of this, I could probably count the number of times
