Merry Hill Autumn/Winter Fashion Event

Last week, I attended an event at Merry Hill Shopping Centre to showcase the coming season's trends.

We were treated to a fashion show of all the up and coming trends and a variety of beauty talks from Boot's including: Smashbox, Maxfactor, Origins and No 7. There are a definitely a few products I want to get after speaking to the ladies and trying some samples!

Smashbox

Issey Miyake Pleats Please Fragrance

Origins

The Origins Gin-Zing Energy boosting Moisturiser is now on my wishlist. It smells amazing like all of the Origins range.

Autumn/ Winter Fashion Trends

So, trends to look out for over the next few months are:
  • Leather and Fur
  • Cobalt Blue
  • Monochrome (Ebony and Ivory)
  • Metallics

(L-R) - Oasis, Internacionale, Vero Moda, Vero Moda, Warehouse and New Look

Vero Moda featured my favourite outfits of the night including this quilted white top which I actually picked up last night! It retails for £28 but Vero Moda have 25% off so it worked out at £21!

They have some lovely clothes in store and are really finding themselves in the fashion market. Poppy Delevingne is there model at the moment!

This weekend they are hosting an 'Autumn Fashion Weekend' with lots of discounts around the centre. You can pick up a voucher booklet from the concierge desk which gives you 20% off a variety of stores ranging from: Boux Avenue, Vero Moda, Oasis, Warehouse and many more.

I actually headed back to Merry Hill last night to make the most of the offers. I've been craving a shopping trip all week so I couldn't resist. I spent over £70 so headed to the concierge desk to pick up the free OPI nail varnish offer myself. There are 4 colours to choose from: a deep blue, nude pink, red and a vampy red.

I'd recommend heading over to Merry Hill this weekend! You can't complain at the huge choice of shops, free parking and discounts! Fashion trends will be on display and there are beauty pods around the centre to give everyone a treat.

Thanks to Westfield Merry Hill for a lovely evening!

Top Nail Varnish Picks For Autumn/ Winter

Autumn/ Winter to me means wearing a lot of grey and black with bursts of khaki and burgundy for colour. Literally, if I see anything khaki coloured, i'm in love and now that's transitioned into my nail varnish thanks to last month's Glossybox.  Here are my current go to nail varnishes, although I did place a Boots order on Cyber Monday for some of the Revlon Gel Envy polishes so there could be some additions to this soon! I actually prefer the regular Nails Inc varnishes over the gel effect ones but I love this burgundy shade. Sally Hansen varnishes have a great

Astrid & Miyu

Astrid and Miyu have become pretty big in the piercing world. I've been fond of their items for a little while but thought they were quite a pricey brand. Although, when I actually had a proper look on their website, I realised there were some reasonable items on there. They are very kindly offering 30% off to NHS staff at the moment so I decided it would be a good time to try a few pieces. I went for a pair of huggies earrings and a pair of studs to wear together.  I have my lobe, upper lobe and left helix pierced. My body doesn't actually respond very well to piercings; I've found the healing time to be long and quite painful. The first time I had my ears pierced at around age 7, I found out I was allergic to gold and had to let them close up. However, once my piercings are healed I find that I can wear gold. I had them re-pierced with titanium at a tattoo shop with belly rings as I don't think titanium was readily available at the time. I remember a dark tatt

Statement Necklaces - NEXT

I have been searching for the perfect statement necklaces for so long without success. I'm a bit too fussy you see. The majority of statement necklaces in the shops are gold and it's rare for me to wear gold jewellery; I much prefer silver! In all the shops i've looked in, there has always been something not quite right: too big, too spiky or the wrong colour. I'd actually given up hunting for one but this morning, I ventured into NEXT. Next isn't somewhere that I usually go into but I was surprised at how many nice things they have and there were definitely a few that I wanted! I couldn't choose between the following two necklaces so treated myself to both! They were quite hard to photograph but i've linked the items so you can check out the stock photos on the NEXT website.
