Autumn/ Winter Fashion Event - Intu Merry Hill

A couple of weekends ago, I headed over to Merry Hill for their Autumn/ Winter fashion event. Although Merry Hill (Dudley) is a bit of a further drive from me, it's definitely the place to go if you want to do some serious shopping. I went with the mindset of getting quite a few additions for my autumn wardrobe and that's exactly what I did. It's always good to pop over to Merry Hill when they are having one of their fashion weekends as there are lots of discounts to be had and entertainment all round with fashion shows and craft areas. It's a nice opportunity to pick up on the new seasons upcoming trends. I collected a voucher booklet from the concierge desk offering varied discounts around the centre. I was kindly gifted a £30 gift card too. Couldn't resist this bobble head people in H&M! I felt that this year the fashion pods were more frequently spaced with more goings on throughout the day which was great as you could be in and out of shops a

LUSH Christmas 2014 #LUSHCoventry

At the beginning of October I was invited over to the Lush Coventry store to have a preview of the newly released Christmas stock. The Christmas releases are always my favourite and it's the time of year when you're most likely to find me in a Lush store. Autumn/ Winter just symbolises cozy nights in with long baths that aren't complete without a Lush product or two. I love how usually you can smell a Lush store before you can see it. I hadn't visited Coventry town centre before so I had to work out where I was going but I made perfect time. We got the chance to look around freely and to talk to the staff about the new ranges. Bubble bars are usually top of my list and this year the Halloween and Christmas range's haven't failed to impress. I'm a sucker for appearances and like nothing more than displaying my Lush goodies. I picked up a Wizard bubble bar to befriend The Christmas Penguin. The Butterbear bath bomb is adorable and the Star L

Tenerife - Holiday OOTN #2

I went shopping for a dress a couple of months ago and couldn't find anything anywhere. Always the way when you need it for the same evening. I tried on a selection in Topshop, River Island and Miss Selfridge with no success. River Island is usually my fail safe go to place so I went back in for a second look. I'd bypassed this dress on my first visit as i wouldn't have said it was my style and it was too in your face. However, it passed the changing room test and I absolutely love it. It's had a few outings since I bought it! Blue Aztec Print Racer Front Bodycon Dress: River Island £32 (Now only £15!) xxxx Tasha

Tenerife - Holiday OOTN

So here's one of my holiday outfits, who doesn't like taking balcony pictures aha...? We stayed at Sol Tenerife,  Playa de las Americas. I love how tanned I look here but it's faded a lot already. Light Blue Cami Top: Miss Selfridge £14 Patterned Trousers: Miss Selfridge £28 White Heels: River Island £50 Necklace; Next £14  (I've had this necklace for about a year and it's got to be my most worn necklace of all time) xxxx Tasha

Tenerife

I should be making the transition into Autumn's trends however, I've not long come back from Tenerife so i'm still in holiday mode. I finally went on a girlie holiday with my bestie Emma. It was only a short break as we couldn't get much time off work but it was so nice to get away! We went to Siam Park which is a water park quite close to where we stayed. We absolutely loved it and it's definitely worth a visit if you're in Tenerife! We stayed at Sol Tenerife, Playa de las Americas. It was a 4* all inclusive hotel . On both the first and last days of our trip, we went to the Gara Rufa Fish Spa. It was 10 euros for 20 minutes and you got a foot massage after. I was a bit nervous about putting my feet in at first but it just tickles. Definitely the best 10 euros we spent whilst we were away. xxxx Tasha

OOTD - New Look and White Converse

My style has been a lot more casual lately and my white converse are my best friends. I have 3 other pairs of Converse in red, grey and lilac but I've not worn any of them as much as I've worn these. The were definitely a worthwhile purchase! Jumper: New Look £17.99 (NOW £10) Acid Wash Jeans: New Look £22.99 White Converse: tReds £44.99 Necklace: New Look £7.99 It's actually really weird looking at this picture of me as I had my hair reverse ombred a while ago so this looks really blonde! xxxx Tasha

Debenhams at INTU Merry Hill

A few weekends ago, I headed to Debenhams at Intu Merry Hill to speak to the girls from Elemis, Elizabeth Arden, Urban Decay and Juicy Couture.  Firstly, the lovely girls at Elemis gave me a facial and went through some of their products. Elemis to me is definitely a spa brand and leaves you feeling so refreshed. I was a bit concerned about having to leave Debenhams bare faced after my Elemis facial but no fret needed, I was sent over to Urban Decay to have my make up done. I had a purple themed look created with the electric palette. I actually ended up purchasing the Optical Blur Brush as I was really impressed with how it packed product onto my skin. I love Urban Decay for their Naked palettes but they have some exciting releases planned. To complete my make up, I headed over to Elizabeth Arden for a Lipology talk. The ladie's here were so happy to answer our questions so don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it! The 8 hour cream/ lipbalm

Glossybox May 2014 - Superdrug Collabaration

There's nothing better than going home for lunch and seeing that the postman has delivered a parcel. This month, Glossybox have teamed up with Superdrug to celebrate 50 years of them being a beauty retailer.  So, let's see what's inside... I Love Cosmetics Strawberries & Milkshake Shimmer & Shine Lip Gloss £1.29 FULL SIZE This isn't something I would've chosen myself but I like strawberry flavouring and it's a cute colour so i'll add it to my collection. Rimmel London Scandaleyes Retro Glam Mascara £6.99 FULL SIZE I haven't tried this particular Rimmel Mascara. I'm currently using the Scandaleyes Volume Flash so it'll be interesting to see how this one compares. The brush has an hourglass shape that is meant to create a 60's look.  B. Quick One Coat Professional Finish Nail Polish £4.99 FULL SIZE This is a brand exclusive to Superdrug; I haven't tried anything from them before but it's a nic

Francesco Group Birmingham Academy

Last Thursday, I attended a blogger event at the Francesco Academy, Birmingham. I've always been a local salon girl but the atmosphere of Francesco's might've converted me. The Embrace collection was on display featuring models of all ages and ethnicities including Jean Woods , age 76 from Fabulous Fashionista's. All of the styles are so sleek but completely wearable. We were told that we could pick a style to have recreated. http://www.francescogroup.co.uk/ http://www.francescogroup.co.uk/ The lovely Mia Dellicompagni set my hair in rollers after discussing what i'd like. My hair falls flat pretty easily so i'm always up for some volume and bounce. Francesco's are Wella Salons and Mia recommended the System professional Balance Scalp Mask so i'm looking forward to testing that out.  image from: http://www.unwrittenhollywood.com/ Here's the result: Whilst my rollers were

London OOTN - Girl's Night Out

Here's what I wore for a night out recently. I don't go clubbing very often so a new outfit was definitely in order! I grabbed this from River Island on the way to catching the train to London.  I don't try things on in stores very often so buying it to wear the next day was a bit of a risk but it fitted me really well and I love the style.  I was feeling really ill but was determined to have an outfit picture so excuse my face! Playsuit: River Island £40 Heels: Dune Clutch: Ted Baker Necklace: Next Bracelet: Thomas Sabo Nails:  Elegant Touch Blue I'd been thinking about getting a pink coat for a while but hadn't found the 'perfect' one. I wasn't a fan of the boyfriend fit but I really like this one. Coat: River Island £70 xxxx Tasha

Jelly Shoes - Yes or No

Jelly shoes were definitely a 90's trend and I can remember loving them as a kid. I'm pretty sure that I had a few pairs, some heeled and some glitter and I absolutely loved being able to wear them out. Seeing them crop up in magazines and all over fashion sites has got me thinking whether I need a pair for my 21 year old self. My current opinion is that the clear ones where you can see your toes are a no go and I think heeled ones would look a bit ridiculous on me so I'd quite like some flat opaque pastel ones. Available from newlook.com/asos.com The majority of places appear to be selling them for £10ish which I think is pretty reasonable. What's your opinion on the return of the jelly shoe? xxxx Tasha

London

I've really neglected my blog lately as life has just taken over. I have horrific amounts of coursework to do and little time for anything. I'm definitely missing writing posts though so hopefully i'll be back on track soon! Last weekend, I went to London with my best friends from school. It was really nice to do some shopping, eat plenty of food and for us to all be together.  Here are a few photos of what we got up too:  St Paul's Cathedral  Breakfast at The Diner, Carnaby Street Bounce Restaurant Outfit posts to follow :) xxxx Tasha

Beauty Haul - Boots

It can't just be me who walks into Boots for a quick look and then ends up coming out with a basket full of things! You happen to see something you've seen on a blog/YouTube and remember that you want to try it! Bourjois So Matte Nail Varnish £5.99 I avoided the matte nails trend for a while but rather than buying a few matte shades, I thought this matte top coat would be a better investment as I could use it on top of all my other nail varnishes. I'm really trying not to buy any as my collection has become ridiculous. This is the only one I've got this year though! Nailene Full Cover Nails Oval £8.49 I wish I had lovely shaped natural nails but that's not the case so false ones are my best friend. I love the stick on Impress nails but by using them, I'm not using up any of my nail varnish. I've had these Nailene ones before in the square finish but I've used up most of the smaller sizes. The square ones were out of stock so I picked
