Top Nail Varnish Picks For Autumn/ Winter

Autumn/ Winter to me means wearing a lot of grey and black with bursts of khaki and burgundy for colour. Literally, if I see anything khaki coloured, i'm in love and now that's transitioned into my nail varnish thanks to last month's Glossybox.  Here are my current go to nail varnishes, although I did place a Boots order on Cyber Monday for some of the Revlon Gel Envy polishes so there could be some additions to this soon! Nails Inc Gel Effect Polish in 'Kensington High Street' Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in 'Plums the Word' Color Club Nail Lacquer in 'Barely There' Color Club Nail Lacquer in 'Glossy Seal' Nails Inc London Polish in 'Battersea Park'       Color Club Nail Varnishes have a great opaque consistency and you can easily get away with one coat. I actually prefer the regular Nails Inc varnishes over the gel effect ones but I love this burgundy shade. Sally Hansen varnishes have a great

OOTD: I'll Show You

After quite a long break, I really want to start blogging regularly again. Time really does run away from us so let's see how this goes.... First up, an outfit of the day featuring my favourite store: River Island. Striped Shirt: River Island £36 Black Joni Jeans: Topshop £36 Boots: River Island £50 (last year) I went on a bit of a spending spree a few weeks ago ahead of the Christmas festivities as I wanted to top up my wardrobe with some pieces I could throw on for last minute plans. I like the design of the shirt although I don't think the cut is very flattering. Topshop Joni Jeans are my absolute favourite, the cut and fit is perfect and I think they have used new material lately that will actually stay black and not fade to a washed out grey. I regretted buying these boots last year as I've hardly worn them and contemplated getting rid of them but I decided to pair them up with this outfit and thought they went quite well so maybe I should try

Intu Merry Hill Spring/ Summer Fashion Weekend

This weekend, the 28th and 29th March, Intu Merry Hill, will be hosting their Spring/ Summer fashion weekender with an array of fashion shows, discounts and competitions. For me, Merry Hill is the place to go as a new season is approaching as know I will always find some great updates for my wardrobe. It has all the shops you could possibly want, a yummy food hall and free parking. Last week, I attended a preview media event for this weekend where we saw some of the latest looks in a fashion show hosted by Lola Royle. Topshop and River Island have been my favourite shops for a long time but I was introduced to shops such as Phase 8 and Oasis which I wouldn't normally pay to much attention too. Key trends for this season include: Blush Pink Block Colours Khaki Stripes Denim I plan on visiting the centre this weekend to pick up some of my favourite pieces seen below! There will be a voucher booklet available both online and to

Glossybox UK March 2015

I've had my Glossybox subscription since the 2nd box that they released. I've just looked up when that was sent out which means it was June 2011 that I received my first box so over the years i've had 45 of these parcels! As the postage has crept up over the years I now pay £13.25 monthly and every now and again I contemplate whether or not to cancel the subscription and just spend £15 on beauty products in Boot's instead. However, I'm super pleased with this month's selection as the products and shades that I have  received are all ones that I will use. NAOBAY Moisturising Peeling This is an organic peeling milk from the Spanish eco-brand NAOBAY. I've just used it and i'd say its a gentle moisturising exfoliator. Dove Advanced Hair Series Youthful Vitality Shampoo & Conditioner These are perfect to keep hold of for travelling. I'm pleased that there is both a shampoo and conditioner because i'm sure in the past

LUSH: Valentines and Permanent Line Haul

I have a tendency to limit the use of my bath bombs and bubble bars just so that I can keep my Lush pot looking pretty. However, after having a lovely Valentine's Lush delivery arrive, I can now happily use up some of my collection without feeling slightly disheartened at a gaping hole in the pot. Presentation before practicality aye .... I have 3 products from the limited edition Valentine's collection and 3 from the permanent line. (L-R) Valentine's Collection: Unicorn Horn, Heart Throb, Floating Flower Permanent Line: Twilight, Think Pink, Phoenix Rising Bubble Bars Heart Throb - with organic shea butter Unicorn Horn - with lavender oil Bath Bombs Floating Flower - Jasmine scented Think Pink - Sweet vanilla for relaxation Phoenix Rising - Cinnamon scented for a refreshed feeling Twilight - Lavender scented with a calming notion The Unicorn Horn and Heart Throb bubble bars are the stand out products for me. Bring on the

OOTN - Failing to make a lift look classy

Nothing makes me happier than walking into a lift and seeing it has a huge mirror, even better when you are by yourself and can therefore justify taking a selfie. Forgive me. *wishing that I could insert the laughing crying emoji here* A few weeks ago, I met up with some friends for cocktails at the Slug and Lettuce, Brindley Place, Birmingham. The night resulted in around 600 failed selfie stick photos when the shutter got stuck. We definitely had some funny looks for the selfie stick but i'm sure people were just jealous.... #proudselfiestickowner Here's what I wore: *Most items linked below* Coat - Amphora, TK Maxx £20 Checked Shirt - Topshop £38 Necklace - River Island £20 Jeans - Topshop Joni Washed Black £38  Bag - River Island fold over slouch bag £25 Boots - River Island Block Heel Ankle Boots £40 I picked up he boyfriend style lilac coat in the TK Maxx sale. It's my transitional pastel piece for spring. It's from a br

OOTD - Positive Mind, Positive Vibes, Positive Life

'So often we become so focused on the finish line that we forget to enjoy the journey' I've reached a point where i've realised that i've focused so much on the negative things in my life that i've let them drag me down. I've found myself at a stage where I've erased the negativity and i am focusing on everything positive and with that my motivation for blogging is back so i'm starting with an OOTD. V Bralet: Topshop £10 T-shirt: Topshop £22 Ripped Joni Jeans: Topshop £38 Heels: New Look £24.99 Bracelet: Pandora Bag: H&M I am converted to Topshop jeans. The Joni ones are my favourite as the fit is perfect. I think I went from owning none to about 6 pairs in 2 months. You don't know what you're missing out on until you try a pair.  I had a bit of an obsession with my hair braid from Tenerife and kept it in for about 3 months even though I'd had my hair cut quite a bit. It's finally out althoug
