They are very kindly offering 30% off to NHS staff at the moment so I decided it would be a good time to try a few pieces. I went for a pair of huggies earrings and a pair of studs to wear together.
I have my lobe, upper lobe and left helix pierced. My body doesn't actually respond very well to piercings; I've found the healing time to be long and quite painful. The first time I had my ears pierced at around age 7, I found out I was allergic to gold and had to let them close up. However, once my piercings are healed I find that I can wear gold. I had them re-pierced with titanium at a tattoo shop with belly rings as I don't think titanium was readily available at the time. I remember a dark tattoo shop been quite scary at that age!
On arrival, I was greeted with a pretty pink box printed with a jewellery care guide. Kudos for packaging. Although upon opening, I was surprised at how dainty the jewellery items are. This would work particularly well for those of you with numerous piercings as lots of studs/ hoops wouldn't look too much together.

With the huggies, I wanted them to be quite small as my ear lobes were pierced quite low down so some larger earrings hang down. I went for the Mystic Jewelled Huggies in silver. They fit the bill perfectly. Unfortunately a moonstone was missing from one of the hoops however, I cannot fault the customer service team on how they have handled this for me.

Then, I incidentally went for matching studs with the Mystic Star Studs in silver. The studs have very sturdy elegant looking backs and are a very pretty item to add to my collection.
Overall, I am very pleased with my first experience with Astrid & Miyu and will look to try other items in the future.
